The Book Seller

This image was taken in the old port town of Valparaiso, Chile where this gentleman sits and sells books. In chile, books carry a heavy tax and are too expensive new for most thus this man displays books from even back in the 60’s to feed the hungry readers in this town.  the part of the truck and the piled boxes added a little framing for me and the dug sleeping in the shadow of the truck was luck, i included the view of the street backing off to the right to show this is a corner location to add context to the location

Street photographs are mirror images of society, displaying "unmanipulated" scenes, with usually unaware subjects.
