Thanks, Tony and Allan. I appreciate that. I wonder what it takes to get a picture to qualify as #streetphotography (as opposed to "image pool"). If you guys have any idea what I'm doing wrong or missing, I'd love to hear it.

This is a good shot Michelle, takes a while sometimes for all the editors to get around and view.

Thanks for those responses. I wasn't asking you to change the status on this shot, though I appreciate that you did, Rob. I was more generally wondering what qualities elevate a picture to make it worthy of the #street pool, when the cliches you mentioned aren't the issue. I guess it's indefinable, an "it" factor? Is that what you mean @hebansky? Or can those things that create interest be narrowed down?

Absolutely Michelle, hard to define. It's subjective and just because 'we' don't like a shot doesn't make it bad or uninteresting. I liked this shot I guess for its abstract and design qualities. Its a silhouette shot, but the bold / contrasting cross lights make this more original. I like the subtle colours/compostition and kept coming back to see if the other editors would see enough in your picture to like too.

Thank you so much for clarifying this for me, Rob. I like your answer- a shot that has people coming back to look at it again is as good an explanation as any I can think of.
